Eleven years ago, I declared February 15 to be EVALentine’s Day. Not that I had any authority to do so. I thought there should be a day when we declare our love of evaluation to others.
It was just a bit of fun. I designed commemorative stamps.
I even sent EVALentine cards around the world to anyone who requested one.
At some point, I forgot all about it. There was too much evaluation to do. Too many papers and books to write. Too many workshops to present. Too many conferences to organize.
But I was reminded today when @ecgrim stood up an declared her love of evaluation to the world. Thanks! And thanks to @evalcentral and @clysy for keeping the eval love alive.
